Overview

Kayla Kwarta is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She focuses her practice on family law, employment litigation, and commercial litigation matters.

Kayla represents clients through every phase of the legal process, from initial intake and case investigation to motion practice, discovery, trial preparation and trial. Kayla is skilled in alternative dispute resolution, where she advocates for her clients’ interests in mediations and settlement negotiations.

Prior to joining Pedersen & Houpt, Kayla served as a paralegal in New York and Illinois before obtaining her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
