Naureen Amjad Presents Seminar on Sexual Harassment
As of January 1, 2020, the Illinois Human Rights Act ("IHRA") was amended to require all Illinois employers to conduct sexual harassment prevention training for all of their employees by December 31, 2020 and on an annual basis thereafter. Failure to conduct such training could result in penalties for employers of up to $5,000.00 per violation. Until now, annual training was considered a best practice by employment law practitioners. With the amendment to the IHRA, however, all Illinois employers are now required to conduct annual sexual harassment prevention training.
While the December 31st deadline for this year's training requirement is fast approaching, Pedersen's Employment Law Practice Group can still provide your employees with virtual training compliant with the IHRA. Presentations for supervisory and non-supervisory employees are available.
If you have questions related to trainings for your workplace or for more information on employment law requirements, please contact the Employment Law Practice Group Leader, Naureen Amjad, at 312.261.2273 or at email@example.com.
