Pedersen Participates in Cycle for Survival Fundraiser

February 9, 2013

It is an amazing, high energy event. People of all ages and abilities, even those who have never tried spinning before, can join in the fun at their own level. Cycle for Survival, it is a national, indoor team spinning event that raises money to fund crucial research into rare cancers. Jennifer and David Linn (Herb's daughter-in-law and son) co-founded Cycle for Survival in 2007 and Cycle has nearly doubled in size and fundraising totals each successive year, making it one of the fastest growing fundraising events in the world. Although Jen passed away in July of 2011, her message of living fearlessly continues to inspire. Cycle has raised more than $17 million to date, directly funding clinical trials and research studies at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and bringing new hope to countless lives touched by rare cancer worldwide.

Since our start in 2007, over $31.5 million dollars has been raised to fight rare cancers—with nearly half coming from 2013 alone.
